The course theoretically introduces students to Critical Multimodal Discourse Analysis and offers a selection of semiotic and linguistic tools to decode global digital discursive practices. The analysis is integrated with a diachronic overview on the cultural connotation of digital mediational means and its American ideational roots, which affect the textual structure of web artifacts
